There is also a level, dubbed "analog," on the outer cover that displays indicators, such as the arrows, for example. At this level, it is possible to view other types of information such as fuel consumption, tire pressure, oil temperature, and many others. 

According to the manufacturer, the new 208 was literally born with Peugeot's DNA and contains a great deal of technology, excellence, and sophistication. 

The model features a range of state-of-the-art, intelligent equipment that enhances safety and provides unique driving experiences.

One of the key technologies in the new 208 is the Peugeot i-Cockpit 3D, a unique system that projects all information in different layers. The end result of this system is a dashboard with three-dimensional technology. 

The best part is that it can be customized to meet the needs of each driver. 

Because the dashboard is positioned higher, it allows the driver to focus more on the road. This not only increases safety compared to a car with a conventional dashboard but also makes driving more ergonomic.

Eco mode is best suited for fuel economy and should be prioritized for urban use.

Finally, in sequential mode, the driver takes control of the machine and performs gear changes using the + and – levers.

When fueled with ethanol, the new 208 achieved average fuel consumption figures of 7.1 km/L in the city and 12.7 km/L on the highway. 

With gasoline, the average fuel consumption improved. In the city, the model achieves 10.8 km/L, and on highways, the average is 15.3 km/L.

Built on the e-CMP platform, the electric 208 is called the Peugeot e-208 GT and, as expected, is equipped with a 136 horsepower electric motor and 26.5 kgfm of torque, powered by a 50 kWh battery. 

The propulsion system ensures acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in an incredible 8.3 seconds. The top speed is 150 km/h and the range is 340 km on a single charge. 

There are three different driving modes: Eco, Drive, and Sport. 

Eco mode focuses on optimizing battery life and range. Drive mode is for balanced use in daily commutes, and Sport mode is for those seeking performance. The last mode delivers all the power and torque available in the electric vehicle.

There are also two braking modes that are activated via the gear lever, which features different criteria for battery energy regeneration.

There is a "moderate" mode for sensations similar to those of a combustion engine vehicle and an "increased" mode for deceleration controlled by the accelerator pedal. 

Like the combustion engine model, the electric version will feature Peugeot Driver Assist with all the safety equipment we mentioned earlier.

Furthermore, the new electric Peugeot 208 will offer drivers all the technological, electronic, and connectivity gadgets as standard features. 

Charging can be done using conventional household outlets or fast chargers like those found in charging stations. 

Depending on the charge level and charger used, it is possible to fully charge the 80% battery in just 30 minutes. 

According to information from the manufacturer, buyers of the 208 e-GT will receive a battery charging system for the power unit developed specifically for charging using conventional outlets. 

This set was developed specifically for Brazil, taking into account all local technical aspects, such as the socket standard, voltage, and network frequency. 

The electric model is not yet available for sale in Brazil, but it can already be ordered.
