The electric car market has been growing worldwide, however, in BrazilWhile the growth of the electric vehicle fleet is still timid, the reasons for this are varied: a low number of charging stations and the devaluation of the Brazilian real against foreign currencies like the euro and dollar are cited as the main culprits. However, one model has been gaining considerable prominence among electric vehicles sold here: the Nissan Leaf.

The experience of driving an electric vehicle is unknown to most Brazilians, but one thing is certain: In the future, hybrid models and even electrified 100% vehicles will be present on Brazilian city streets.
While combustion engine models are already on their way out in European countries, here in Brazil some timid movements have already begun to take place. There is a bill (304/2017) is being processed in the Senate, so that in ten years gasoline-powered models cannot be sold in the country and from 2040 onwards they cannot circulate anymore.
It's no coincidence that we're seeing more and more electric or hybrid models emerging, and that motorsport categories like FIA WEC and Formula E serve as laboratories for the development of new technologies to be used on the streets.
Renowned automakers like Chevrolet, Renault, BMW, Audi, and Volkswagen already have vehicles with "clean technology," but the 2020 Nissan Leaf is here to break paradigms.

The 2020 Nissan Leaf has a suggested retail price of R$195,000. While this may seem unrealistic to many, this high price is not unique to Brazil. In the United Kingdom, where the model is produced, the price is almost £28,000.

The engine has the equivalent of 149 horsepower and accelerates surprisingly quickly, with 32.6 kgfm of torque. There are two ways to drive the 2020 Nissan Leaf: Normal mode and Eco mode, popularly known as one-pedal mode.
