10. Chevrolet Colorado

Although derived from the same project that gave rise to our current S10, the North American Chevrolet Colorado has some rather curious and unique features. 

In addition to its unique name, the model features a front and rear design inspired by the classic Silverado. Furthermore, the square wheel arches give the pickup a more robust and imposing look.

The interior is also cool and features a unique and distinctive design for the dashboard, steering wheel, console, and gearshift lever. 

With two body options, there are also three engine variations: a 2.5 gasoline engine, a 2.8 turbodiesel, and a 3.6 V6 diesel engine. Like the engine options, there's also a very diverse range of versions, just the way Brazilians like it. 

9. Fiat Fullback

Here we have another great example of pickup trucks that not only would be successful, but already are in Brazil. 

The Fiat Fullback is what we call badge engineering – which translated into Portuguese means exemplary engineering.

If you're an observant person, you may have already noticed: The model is the new generation Mitsubishi L200, but with the Fiat logo.

Known to the public since its 2015 debut at the Dubai Motor Show, the pickup truck quickly reached European, Asian, Middle Eastern markets, and neighboring countries in South America.

The Fullback is equipped with a 2.4 turbodiesel engine and offers the option of an automatic or manual transmission, both with 5 speeds. 

8. Foton Tunland

The Foton Tunland was launched globally in 2011 and is still on sale in some markets around the world. Our neighbors Argentina, Colombia, and Chile are examples of countries that offer this pickup truck as an option for their populations.

7. GMC Canyon

The GMC Canyon is actually a sister model to the Chevrolet Colorado and is sold in countries like Canada and the USA under the GMC brand, which is the utility and commercial vehicle division of the General Motors group. 

The model shares the engine and transmission with the Colorado, but is positioned in a more premium way, especially if we consider the top-of-the-line version that bears the Denali name, with 20-inch wheels and a more refined finish.

The pickup truck features a unique front design, wheel arches with well-defined creases, and taillights that appear to have been handcrafted. 

The model has already won the Best of the Best award in its category in the US, beating even the Chevrolet Colorado. Despite all the competition, it would certainly be a success in Brazil.

6. Honda Ridgeline

The Honda Ridgeline is built using the same concept applied to... Fiat Toro What we have here: The pickup truck has a unibody construction and is derived from the American SUV Piloto. 

The pickup truck is produced only in Alabama – USA, but it is sold to many countries, including some neighboring countries such as Colombia, Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay.

The Ridgeline has a 3.5 V6 engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission under the hood. Its main advantage is its good handling, considered very close to that of passenger cars.

Another point that is very appealing is the wide range of storage compartments, which is great for those with young children and teenagers. 

With its youthful look and all the features mentioned, it's another pickup truck that would be a hit in Brazil. 

5. Isuzu D-Max

Produced by the Japanese automaker Isuzu – a brand that was sold in Brazil a few decades ago – the D-Max is yet another example of a pickup truck that would be a success here. 

The model is almost a cousin of the Chevrolet S10. GM joined forces with the Japanese manufacturer to jointly manage its project, sharing costs and profits and thus reducing its development time.

From a mechanical standpoint, both are identical, but each brand has applied its own design philosophies. Currently in South America, the D-Max is sold in Paraguay and Suriname. 

Across the Atlantic, the model is particularly successful in the United Kingdom and has good acceptance in the African and Asian markets. 

4. Mazda BT-50

The Mazda BT-50 is yet another pickup truck whose design was developed through a collaboration between two automakers.

In this case, the parties involved were Mazda and Ford, and the partnership resulted in the current generation of the Ford Ranger. 

The pickup truck draws attention for its design, which is completely aligned with Japanese philosophy. The model features leaf-shaped taillights that are divided by the hood.

The Mazda BT-50 is sold in our close neighbors: Colombia, Chile, and Paraguay, as well as in Asian countries and Oceania.

The model is present in markets across virtually the globe, including Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and of course, South Korea, the brand's country of origin. 

2. Tata Xenon

Few people remember, but the Indian Tata Xenon pickup truck also used to be on the roads here. 

A previous collaboration with Fiat resulted in it being tested for several months by engineers in Betim (MG).

Before developing the Toro, the Italian brand partnered with Indiana to try and develop a pickup truck based on an already existing project.

As we know, the project didn't work out, and each brand chose to go its own way, which was a good thing because if the merger had succeeded, the Toro most likely wouldn't exist. 

Today, Xenon is sold in Asia, Oceania, and some Latin American countries, but under the name Evolve.

And to round out our list of pickup trucks that would be a hit in Brazil, we have the Toyota Tacoma. 

A leader in its category in Brazil and one of the best-selling pickup trucks in the world... Hilux It is not the only Toyota representative in the pickup truck segment worldwide.
