Turbi: the present and the future of the car

In rural areas, owning a car, getting around, and even finding a parking spot can be a challenge, but the same cannot be said for large cities. Heavy traffic, expensive parking, and high prices are major obstacles for those seeking to own a car. It was with all of this in mind that Turbi was created.

Turbi

Cars are one of Brazilians' greatest passions today, but in big cities like São Paulo, owning a car can be a major headache.

It was because of all these challenges that the startup Turbi was born, and it will certainly revolutionize the way people get around in large cities.

Today we're going to show you how the startup works and why it can be considered a real lifesaver for those who love to drive but don't want to or can't own a car.

Let's go!

What exactly is Turbi?

Turbi is a revolutionary startup that truly combines business with pleasure.

This is a vehicle rental option with unprecedented prices for those who need to get around in large cities but don't want to use public transportation and also don't want to buy a car.

Today, the prices charged by Turbi are very similar to the amounts that would be spent on public transportation.

Therefore, it's natural that many people end up opting for the startup's services over public transportation, which is often dilapidated and charges exorbitant prices.

Ready to learn how it works?

How does it work?

Have you ever imagined what it would be like to unlock a car directly from your cell phone at any time of day? Sounds like something out of a futuristic movie, doesn't it? But it's not!

Turbi today offers convenience, savings, and a 100% digital (and accessible) experience.

Currently, the startup has vehicle rental locations in seven cities in Greater São Paulo, with a fleet of 1700 vehicles distributed among them. cars.

In the future, the company also intends to operate in other markets. Cities such as Belo Horizonte, Campinas, and Curitiba are emerging as the main candidates.

Categorias
Turbi offers different categories of vehicles.

To proceed with the rental, simply download the app, reserve a vehicle, and keep it for as long as you want or need, paying only for what you use.

The service is charged as follows: The renter pays an hourly rate, depending on the vehicle category, plus an additional R$ fee of 0.50 per kilometer driven.

Registration on the startup's app is subject to approval and requires a security deposit, with the deductible amount being disclosed in case of damage or accidents of any kind.

One very positive aspect of renting with this startup is that you don't need to refuel after use, insurance is already included, and if any assistance is needed, there's a team available to provide support 24/7.

Another point that needs to be made here is that the vehicles must be picked up and returned to the same agencies. In other words, it is not possible to pick up a car at Guarulhos airport and return it in downtown São Paulo.

Automatic vehicles only

Here's further proof that Turbi is a truly futuristic startup: They only offer self-driving vehicles for rent.

The clutch pedal next to the manual transmission is absent in the Startup's vehicles, perhaps a sign of what cars of the future will be like, which is a shame for purists who would like it.

Vehicle categories available H2

Today, Turbi offers its customers the following vehicle categories:

  • Hatches;
  • Sedans;
  • SUVs;
  • Sports;
  • Convertibles;

In the Hatch category, models such as the Chevrolet Onix 1.4, Ford Ka 1.5, and HB20 1.6 are available with values of R$ 10 per hour plus R$ 0.50 per kilometer driven.

Finally, we have the sports and convertible categories, which include the Mini Cooper S 2.0 and Mini Cooper Cabrio 2.0, respectively. To drive either of them, the price is R$ 35 per hour, plus an additional R$ 0.50 per kilometer driven.

Possibility of renting a BMW M235i Gran Coupé.

One very attractive aspect of the startup is the possibility of renting a BMW M235i. Gran Coupé, belonging to the Osten dealership.

This is a marketing ploy combined with the issue of accessibility, since it's a vehicle that many people don't have the chance to buy or drive.

Those who choose to rent a BMW need to go through prior training before driving the vehicle around.

Insurance claims are the responsibility of the tenant.

Similar to traditional car rental companies, the startup does not charge for towing the vehicle if necessary.

However, in the event of accidents or damage, the responsibility for covering the costs rests with the client, regardless of the event and fault, whether it's paying the vehicle's co-participation fee or repairing the damage. Whichever is cheaper.

Possibility of assembling packages

In addition to renting a vehicle for one, two, or three hours, it's possible to put together specific packages with pre-determined time periods that end up being cheaper.

Today the available packages include: 12, 24, 48 and 168 hours.

When booking a 12-hour package, there is a reduction of 45% in the hourly rate. For packages of 24, 48, and 168 hours, the reductions are 50%, 55%, and 60% respectively.

Everything is designed to ensure safe, functional, and accessible travel.

Concern and care regarding Covid-19

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic outbreak not only in Brazil but throughout the world, the ideal option if you need to travel is to choose individual transportation, and Turbi is concerned about this issue.

Currently, all vehicles are equipped with hand sanitizer and the frequency of fleet sanitization has been increased by 50%.

Covid
Covid-19 lowered Turbi's prices.

Furthermore, with the aim of maintaining ease of travel along with health safety, Turbi has temporarily lowered the price of the package of days with daily rates starting from R$60.

All of this is to ensure safe travel from a health standpoint.

Conclusion

In a simple, functional, and bureaucracy-free way, the Turbi It is gaining more and more ground in Greater São Paulo.

The startup's expansion plans are already well advanced, and its services are expected to reach other cities in Brazil later this year.
