During the record-breaking attempt, the Mirai consumed 5.65 kilograms of hydrogen and emitted no pollutants. 

According to Toyota, a car with a combustion engine would have emitted approximately 300 kilograms of CO2 into the atmosphere while traveling the same route. 

The record was set on August 23rd and 24th.

However, this was not the first time the model had traveled long distances without needing to refuel.
