A little history of the Toyota Corolla in Brazil and the world.
The Toyota Corolla was born in 1966, and the first generation lasted until 1970, being named E10. Many say that the model resembled the famous Ford Corcel I.
The second generation remained similar in terms of style and lasted until 1974, when the third generation of the sedan gained more rectilinear curves, but still maintained its compact size.
Starting with the fourth generation, the Corolla began to grow in size, but it was only in the fifth and sixth generations, between 1983 and 1981, that the Japanese sedan gained more efficient aerodynamics.
Brazilians became familiar with the Corolla starting with the seventh generation, which was sold until 1955. The first generation of the model arrived in Brazil soon after, when Toyota built a factory in Indaiatuba, São Paulo, starting in 1997.
It wasn't until the ninth generation that the Corolla became popular here, precisely during the same period in which it gained a reputation for being robust, comfortable, and reliable.
From then on, the model emerged as a clear winner in its category, only occasionally challenged by its biggest competitor, the Honda Civic.
Today, the Corolla is the best-selling car in history, with over 44 million units sold. While its history is glorious, it's time to look at the sedan's present.

Check out all the details about the 2021 Toyota Corolla now!
Design is the beginning of everything.
As with any car, the first thing that catches the eye is the design.
Looking more closely, the Toyota Corolla 2021 arrives with subtle changes to its design, with the obvious intention of making it more appealing.
The car that was once called the "old man's car" is now attracting the attention of everyone who only looked at the Jetta and Civic.
The new TNGA-C platform has lowered the model's center of gravity by 10 mm, which directly influences its appearance, making its silhouette more aerodynamic and with more fluid lines.
At the front, you can see a bumper with more trapezoidal sides, with the front grille connecting to the headlights via an elegant line that flows down the sides, giving the sedan a more dynamic look.
The headlights feature halogen bulbs, but the daytime running lights are LED. In the hybrid versions, the finish is blue, which gives a special touch to the system as a whole. Below the headlight line there is a black grille next to the fog lights.
Moving on to the rear of the 2021 Corolla, we have new taillights designed to harmonize with the trunk design and striking creases in the bumper.
The upper part of the trunk features lines that flow down the sides above the door handles, giving the model a sophisticated look. And finally, all versions come standard with alloy wheels.
The interior is a highlight, but more than just a positive one.
When you talk about the Corolla, the first thing that comes to mind is comfort, and the 2021 model is no different.
The interior of the 2021 Toyota Corolla is truly distinctive. The first thing that catches the eye is the leather and synthetic material upholstery, which in the higher trim levels can be beige or brown.
The central panel is entirely produced in Black Piano finish, which integrates luxury and functionality in a way that is sure to please even the most demanding drivers.
The air diffusers have a silver finish as a way to elegantly contrast with the rest of the objects.
There are also cup holders and storage compartments scattered throughout the vehicle to provide practicality and convenience to all occupants.
Finally, a technological highlight inside the 2021 Corolla is its interior rearview mirror with an electrochromic anti-glare system that ensures better driver visibility without any glare.

Using the same logic from a technological standpoint, the model recognizes the proximity of the key and allows the engine to be started using the start/stop button.

Adjustment of the driver and passenger seats.
