The Nissan Ariya was first presented to the world in 2019 during the Tokyo Motor Show. At the time, the model was just a prototype for the Japanese automaker. However, the acceptance was so great that the brand decided to take the model from paper to reality. 

After much speculation, testing, and teaser releases, Nissan's first electric SUV aims to represent a milestone for the company, marking the starting point for a new automotive phase. 

This model is considered key. After all, Nissan has an ambitious plan to launch 10 new models in the next 20 months.

It's like a commitment to meeting customer demand for SUVs and crossovers, but with electrified, automated, and connected technology.

Nissan decided to make the Ariya a unique model capable of arousing unique feelings and providing drivers and passengers with sensations they have never experienced before, and this should be achieved because the vehicle has some rather unique characteristics. 

The first point about the electrified SUV is that its platform is special (and unique). 

The platform used is the CFM-EV, the result of a joint effort by an alliance between Renault, Nissan, and Mitsubishi, which will also be used in future vehicles. electrical projects and gives the Nissan Ariya the build of a mid-size coupe SUV. 

Regarding the design, there are no surprises. The model remained faithful to the concept prototype that was presented last year. Nissan kept its promise not to make any changes. 

At the front, the grille draws attention due to its vertical air intakes. The headlights are narrow, with a unique and interesting light scheme that attracts a lot of attention for its harmony and beauty.

Generally speaking, the Ariya is charming and beautiful at the same time, managing to combine contemporary style with modernity. Specifically, it will be difficult to find criticism of the model's design. 

When it was still a prototype, the Ariya's cabin had not yet been revealed. 

Now we can see the cabin of the model, which boasts a very futuristic look, as one would expect. 

The most striking feature is the dashboard, which is filled with two screens containing an entertainment system and an instrument panel. Each screen measures 12.3 inches.

Another highlight is the seats, which feature "zero gravity" technology capable of providing greater comfort and better adjustments. The trunk is also impressive, with capacities of 467 and 413 liters depending on the version chosen.

In addition to being the first model with electric propulsion, the Nissan Ariya aims to showcase the Japanese automaker's latest technologies. 

Thus, the electrified SUV features specific technologies such as Nissan Intelligent Mobility, a driver and passenger assistance system. 

In addition, a highly anticipated feature is the e-Pedal: a system that allows the driver to start the engine, accelerate, and brake using only the accelerator pedal. 

Another standard technological feature in the Ariya line is the Nissan Safety Shield 360 system.

This system is a suite of safety-focused technologies that includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection and rear brake assist, lane departure warning, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and high beam assist. 

The system also features an intelligent forward collision warning system with a range of other functionalities. And that's not all!

There is an interface that allows customers to use their voice to adjust car settings, and the Ariya features Amazon's Alexa assistant to help customers organize tasks during their journey. 

And as expected, connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay platforms is also available.

Finally, one of the model's biggest highlights is the Pro Pilot Remote Park. This is a system that allows the driver to perform parking maneuvers from outside the car. 

The Nissan Ariya features two different propulsion options that customers can choose from. 

The first one features only an electric motor and front-wheel drive. This configuration delivers 217 horsepower with 30.5 kgfm of torque.

 The second one has two electric motors, one on each axle, providing all-wheel drive to the assembly with 294 horsepower and 61.2 kgfm of torque. 

In both cases, there are also two options for the battery pack. The first has a capacity of 63 kWh. The second has a capacity of 87 kWh. 

Whenever we talk about electric vehicles, the biggest concern for many people is range. 

According to figures released after private tests by the Japanese automaker itself, the Ariya's range is 450 kilometers for the single-motor version and 610 kilometers for the dual-motor version. 

In its most powerful configuration, the SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 200 km/h. 

The weight of the model varies between 1,800 kg and 2,300 kg depending on the configuration chosen by the buyer. 

When we introduce any kind of new product, one thing everyone expects to know is the price. 

Nissan announced that the model will start at US$40,000. In a direct conversion, the electric car's price would be in the range of R$250,000. However, the automaker has not yet commented on whether the model will be available in Brazil. 

Considering the expansion of the electric vehicle sector, even if still timid here, the chances of the Ariya arriving here are high. 

In the search for more sustainable options in terms of pollution and carbon emissions, electric vehicles are standing out.
