We'll start with the famous fifty-cc model from the three-tuning-fork brand. 

The Yamaha RD 50 was the first motorcycle made in Brazil. Beyond its pioneering spirit, the Japanese brand created an innovative motorcycle for its time, with low maintenance costs and more than satisfactory performance. 

The motorcycle was literally the foundation for the development of the first generations of motorcycles produced here. 

The motorcycle had unique features such as a Torque Induction system that helped maintain internal cylinder pressure so that the explosion occurred with less mixture backflow, which increased engine efficiency and improved gasoline combustion. 

The performance and sound of this two-stroke engine leave many people nostalgic. 

The CG was certainly the first motorcycle that many Brazilians rode. What few people know is that, like the Volkswagen Gol, it's already over 40 years old. 

The small motorcycle was developed in 1976 specifically for the Brazilian market, taking into account the needs and economic power of the time, and was a resounding success for the Japanese manufacturer.

The 1976 Honda CG 125 was robust, and that alone was more than enough to attract attention. 

Its engine could handle the strain when pushed beyond its capabilities. The gearbox had 4 gears which, while not rotary, only pointed downwards, and returning to neutral was only possible in the opposite direction, upwards.

It was quickly nicknamed the "two-wheeled Beetle" due to its popularity, low cost, and the confidence it inspired in riders. Without a doubt, one of the motorcycles that made history in Brazil. 

The Vespa PX 200E attracted attention upon its release in 1986 due to its engine displacement.

The 1981 Yamaha DT 180 is a true rarity these days and is recognized by a unique feature: the swingarm with rear suspension made of circular section tubing, not rectangular like the DT 180s released after it. 

With a two-stroke engine and torque that still pleases today, the DT 180 was manufactured until 1997, and it's very difficult to find an original model. Prices currently vary. The newer ones can be worth around 8,000 R$.

The Yamaha YBR 125 was a milestone in the Japanese manufacturer's history in Brazil, being the first popular model equipped with a four-stroke engine. 

The motorcycle proved to be a success and quickly became Yamaha's best-selling equipment in Brazil. target of much praise At the time, the motorcycle stood out for having a more modern design and a more up-to-date engine than its competitor, the Honda CG 125 Titan. 

The model's greatest advantage lay in the economy and reliability of its 124 cc single-cylinder engine, with two valves, a single overhead camshaft, and air cooling. 

According to the manufacturer, this engine was chosen by all its subsidiaries as the most compact, durable, and fuel-efficient engine in the world. 

A few years after its launch, many motorcycle couriers went viral by showing off the odometers of their YBRs, which had already covered more than 100,000 kilometers. Without a doubt, it's one of the motorcycles that made history in Brazil. 

Here we have a motorcycle that's either loved or hated. There's no middle ground when we're talking about the AME Amazonas. 

The AME Amazonas was a huge motorcycle that featured the gearbox and engine from a Volkswagen Beetle. The motorcycle even had reverse gear and at the time cost the equivalent of six Honda CG 125s. 

The motorcycle began mass production in 1978 and was intended to serve the public that could not import motorcycles due to a ban on vehicle imports in Brazil. 

Even today, some examples of this truly cumbersome contraption can still be found around town. 

The first Brazilian motorcycle made in Japan was the CB 400 1980, which arrived disassembled from the East Asian country and was assembled in Manaus. 

The motorcycle arrived on the market at a rather peculiar time when the importation of motorcycles was still prohibited. This only made the demand for large motorcycles grow considerably. 

The assembly solution in Manaus alleviated this shortage and made the motorcycle an almost immediate success. A year later, a more luxurious version, named CB 400 II, would appear. 

The first CBzona, as it was nicknamed, and the CB 400 II are still highly sought-after items today. A motorcycle that truly made history in Brazilian cities and highways. 

You might be wondering: But what is a Fazer doing on a list of the 10 motorcycles that made the most history in Brazil?

The answer is simple: The 2005 Yamaha Fazer 250 was the first motorcycle produced in Brazil to leave the factory with electronic fuel injection. A true milestone for its time. 

The fuel injection system made the motorcycle much more responsive than its main competitor at the time, the Honda Twister. Furthermore, the fuel combustion was more linear, making the motorcycle considerably more economical. 

The Yamaha Fazer was and still is a great motorcycle that can be... used in the city and on the road without any problem whatsoever. 

Here we have another example that may seem out of place on our list, but its presence is entirely understandable. As many know, BMW has always been a globally recognized brand that has cherished and continues to cherish its name. 

Therefore, it was a real surprise when the manufacturer announced that it would produce a motorcycle outside of Germany. Well, the chosen location for production was Brazil, and the model in question was the GS 650. 

This more lenient approach paved the way for many other motorcycles to be produced here! 

Launched in 2005, the Suzuki Burgman AN 125 scooter was a true pioneer in this motorcycle segment in Brazil and for a long time led as the best-selling model among others. 

Nicknamed "burgminha," the scooter helped give rise to a legion of scooters in the country, such as the Yamaha Neo, the Honda PCX, and the Honda Elite.

Refreshed in 2011 and renamed Burgman i, the model was discontinued due to incompatibility with the new ABS and CBS braking systems, which are mandatory for all new motorcycles produced or imported into Brazil. 

Although considered by many to be a dangerous vehicle, motorcycles actually inspire as much or even more passion than cars and certainly hold a special place in the hearts of many Brazilians.
