The cargo bed volume is 1,180 liters and the payload capacity is 1002 kg. With six different versions, the prices for the Ford Ranger range from R$ 132,230 to R$ 188,990. 

5. Chevrolet S10

The Chevrolet S10 once enjoyed the status of being the best-selling pickup truck in Brazil, but over the years it ended up losing ground to the competition. Even so, it remained popular due to its robustness and strong, powerful engines. 

The model features safety items such as hill start assist and hill start assist, as well as driving assistance and autonomous emergency braking. Comfortable and spacious, its wide range of engine options is the model's strong point. 

The S10 features a 2.5 Flex Ecotec engine capable of generating 197 horsepower with gasoline and 206 horsepower with ethanol, with options for a six-speed manual or automatic transmission and 4x2 and 4x4 drive options.

The other engine is the Duramax 2.8 turbodiesel with direct injection, capable of delivering 200 horsepower, also with a six-speed manual and automatic transmission. With this engine, the only drive option is 4x4 with low range.

With a 1061-liter cargo bed and a payload capacity of just over 1 ton, the S10 comes in up to twelve different versions and has prices ranging from R$ 109,990 to R$ 188,990. The manufacturer has already announced some minor changes for the line 2021.

4. Toyota Hilux

The main focus of the Hilux, the fourth best pickup truck in Brazil, is work and brute force. 

This is a very large pickup truck and relatively difficult to drive in large urban centers or cities with heavy traffic. The model performs better on highways and in nature. 

We can say that this is a true pickup truck, as it offers a high level of safety, since it has a series of components that aid in driving in extreme conditions, with traction and stability controls, and the model also features seven airbags as standard.

With a cargo bed capacity of up to 1580 liters, it can handle a load of up to 1020 kilograms. 

Available in twelve different versions, the Hilux costs between R$ 119,990 and R$ 214,690 and has a limited edition with a sporty feel. 

3. Fiat Toro

In third place among the best pickup trucks in Brazil we have the Fiat Toro.

Packed with safety features such as airbags, hill start and descent assist, Isofix, stability and traction control, the Toro is actually a SUP – Sport Utility Pick-Up. 

With its modern and futuristic look, it has been the choice of many people who like pickup trucks but drive more on paved roads than off-road, due to its comfort and interior similar to an SUV. 

Besides the design and safety features, another noteworthy aspect is its diverse engine options. 

The first option is an E.torQ Evo 1.8 engine with a single overhead camshaft, capable of delivering 135 horsepower on gasoline and 139 horsepower on ethanol.

The second option is the Multijet II 2.0 diesel engine. Very strong at low revs and capable of delivering 170 horsepower, it can be paired with a six-speed manual or a nine-speed automatic transmission. 

And the third option is the Tigershark 2.4 Flex, capable of generating 186 horsepower on ethanol and 174 on gasoline. Its only drawback is that there is only one transmission option: a 9-speed automatic.

The Toro has a slightly smaller cargo bed than its competitors, totaling 820 liters, and can handle loads close to one ton. With 9 versions available, its prices range from R$ 96,990 to R$ 167,990.

2. Mitsubishi L200 Triton

In second place we have the Mitsubishi L200 Triton. 

The Japanese pickup truck is known for its unique design and boasts excellent dual-purpose functionality, meaning it performs well on both paved and unpaved roads. 

In terms of safety, the model is exemplary, featuring up to seven airbags, including knee protection. The pickup truck also has traction and stability control, hill start assist, and an emergency braking system. 

The body received improved structural acoustic treatment, which also enhances impact absorption, making it even more comfortable. New bumpers were incorporated into the chassis with functionality in mind.

With a 1046-liter cargo bed and a payload capacity of over one ton, the L200 comes in five different versions and costs between R$ 129,990 and R$ 189,990.

The Nissan Frontier, which came in first place in our ranking, has brought some new features this year.

The base versions, S, Attack, and XE, gained wheels with new graphics, while the top-of-the-line LE now features a bed liner, side moldings, and door trim. In addition, the interior has been redesigned, becoming more pleasant and comfortable.

Regarding prices, although the manufacturer has not commented, it is estimated that with a wide variety of models, the Landtrek will have prices ranging from R$ 120 thousand to R$ 190 thousand.
