If there's one undeniable thing when we talk about the 2021 Chevrolet Onix, it's its beauty. The controversial design of the first generation is a thing of the past and has evolved over the years.

For the naturally aspirated engine, there is only one transmission option: the six-speed manual, which is very popular. 

The second option is another 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine, but turbocharged. This more powerful engine is capable of producing 116 horsepower with either gasoline or ethanol.

Unlike the naturally aspirated engine, the turbocharged engine offers two transmission options: a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. 

These two configurations are quite pleasing in terms of performance, efficiency, and of course: economy. 

With ethanol, the naturally aspirated engine averages 9.9 km/L in the city and 11.7 km/L on the highway. With gasoline, the figures rise to 13.9 km/L in city driving and 16.7 km/L on highways. 

The turbocharged engine with manual transmission, when fueled with ethanol, achieves an average of 9.2 km/L in urban driving and 11.5 km/L on highways. With gasoline in the tank, the averages are 11.2 km/L and 16 km/L, respectively. 

Finally, the turbocharged engine with automatic transmission, when fueled with ethanol, achieves 8.3 km/L in the city and 10.7 km/L on the highway. With gasoline, the average rises to 11.9 km/L in the city and 15.1 km/L on highways. 

These are averages that no one could find fault with.
