The 2.0-liter gasoline engine had 114 horsepower and came with... standard items Features include power windows, mirrors, and locks, power steering, and moderate fuel consumption for city driving and good fuel economy for highway driving.

6. Chevrolet Vectra

The Chevrolet Vectra was one of the most successful sedans in the Brazilian market between the 1990s and 2000s. The vehicle was a highly desirable item for young people and adults alike, thanks to its design, power, and standard features, surpassing the automaker's previous star, the Monza.

The Vectra, without a doubt, deserves to be on the list of the best cars to drive 200,000 km. Throughout its life, the vehicle featured different types of engines.

Initially, the models had two engine options: a 2.0-liter engine with 116 horsepower for the standard model and 150 horsepower for the GSI version.

In the second generation, the highlight was the engine used in the CD version, a 2.0 with 141 horsepower that later offered 136 horsepower.

Still in its second generation, the Vectra gained a 2.2-liter engine that delivered 123 horsepower in the 8-valve version. The 2.2-liter 1.6-valve engine allowed for a modest power increase, reaching 138 horsepower.

Finally, in the third generation, the main engine was a 2.4-liter unit that produced 150 horsepower and was equipped with either a manual or automatic transmission.

For those seeking durability, it is recommended to opt for models with a manual transmission. Like other models, the Vectra is capable of lasting for long periods due to its ability to operate at high speeds and low RPMs.

2. Chevrolet Silverado

The Chevrolet Silverado had a short life in Brazil. It was only on the local market for 4 years, with insignificant sales. Initially produced in Argentina, the pickup truck began being manufactured here in 1995. The problem with sales was that it had to compete with the Ford F250, which was superior in some aspects.

Initially, the Silverado was launched with two engine options: a 4.2-liter, 6-cylinder diesel engine with 168 horsepower and a 4.1-liter, 6-cylinder gasoline engine with 138 horsepower.

One of the distinguishing features of this model, compared to its competitors, was its good build quality and meticulous finish. Packed with standard features, the diesel engine is the best option for those seeking durability.

With a little patience, it's possible to find well-maintained Silverado models at attractive prices, making them a great option for those looking for cars that can be driven over 200,000 km.

1. Ford F250

And to round out the list of the best cars for driving 200,000 km, we have the famous Ford F250.

Introduced as a successor to the Ford F100, the F250's main objective was to beat its competitor at the time, the Silverado. Sold in Brazil between 1998 and 2012, the F250 initially offered gasoline and diesel engines. However, due to high fuel consumption, something frowned upon in the category, the gasoline engines ceased to be offered two years after its launch.

Its large size was one of the model's main selling points; the large cargo bed and long wheelbase easily exceed 6 meters in length, requiring drivers to have a Class C driver's license.

Over the years, the F250 has received new restylings and even 4x4 drive. For those who live a hybrid lifestyle, in the countryside and in the city, it is a great option for a durable and multi-purpose vehicle.
