The first Chevrolet factory in Brazil was built in the Ipiranga neighborhood of São Paulo in 1925. 

Even with the global economy facing a delicate moment, sales expectations are only increasing, and after two years, Chevrolet has installed another factory in Brazil, this time in the city of São Caetano do Sul, also in São Paulo.

Thus began a highly successful assembly line. 

Seeking to reach the most varied consumer profiles, the company has had and still has vehicles for the most varied tastes and budgets.

In its production portfolio, the automaker boasts highly successful models in the Brazilian automotive market, such as the Veraneio, Opala, Chevette, Monza, Kadett, and Corsa, for example. Cars that made history in Brazil.

Currently, the brand is experiencing a moment of glory; after all, for the last three years, the Onix has been the absolute sales leader in the country. However, other models haven't had as much success, as we will show now in the list of the 10 best-selling Chevrolet cars. 

Occupying the tenth position among the 10 best-selling Chevrolet cars in 2020 is the TrailBlazer, a model that replaced the famous and well-known Blazer. 

The model is a luxury SUV, with ample space, equipped with standard features and safety equipment, but due to its high price it is for a select few. Furthermore, strong competition results in low resale value. 

In total, the model sold only 1,558 units. 

Here we have one of those models that are considered true works of art on wheels. 

The Cruze Sport6 is the hatchback version of the Cruze that boasts extensive technological features, such as Wi-Fi and a rearview camera, a powerful 1.4 turbo engine with 153 horsepower, and safety equipment. 

However, like the TrailBlazer, the Cruze Sport6 is priced high for a select few, which is why the model only occupies ninth position, as so far, "only" 2,273 units have been registered. 

The Equinox is an SUV that follows the same line as the TrailBlazer, and although it is more complete than its sibling, they end up competing with each other, which dilutes the sales of both. 

A highlight of the 2020 Equinox is the debut of the 1.5 turbo engine, which promises good performance but with moderate fuel consumption. 

Because it is imported from Mexico, its prices are automatically higher, and in addition, internal and external competition contribute to its moderate sales levels. 

A total of 2,623 Equinox units were sold. 

The Chevrolet Montana had its glory years in the mid-2000s when its mechanics and design were unique and ahead of their time.

However, as the years went by, the model began to share the mechanics and appearance of the less-loved Agile, and this was certainly a hard blow for lovers of the small pickup truck. 

Furthermore, the competition in its category is very high, having to share attention with the Volkswagen Saveiro and Fiat Strada, so few people remember that the Montana exists. To date, the model has only sold 4,308 units. units sold. 

The Chevrolet Cruze is a sedan that attracts attention wherever it goes; however, the model faces stiff competition. 

Just to give an example, the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, and Volkswagen Virtus are its main competitors, which makes things difficult for the Chevrolet model.

Its sales figures show that it is indeed being overlooked by its competitors, as only 6,486 units were registered up to the end of July. 

In fifth place among Chevrolet's best-selling cars in 2020 is the Spin.

Although some say the model is a station wagon, there are still those who see the vehicle as an "elongated" SUV. The truth is that its design has never been well-received by Brazilians.

Its main feature is its ability to carry up to 7 people, or large cargo capacities, making it a great option for large families or for those looking for a vehicle to carry a lot of cargo but who don't like pickup trucks or vans.

A total of 8,582 units were sold. 

Chevrolet recently announced a major redesign of the S10 for 2021. 

The automaker's changes to the pickup truck had been expected for some time, as its competitors were gaining a significant advantage in a number of areas. 

The S10 has remained timeless, but it still has its long-time admirers, so much so that it's no coincidence that it occupies the fourth position among the 10 best-selling Chevrolet cars.

The model had a total of 11,144 units sold. 

Until 2019, the Tracker was imported from Mexico, which made its price high compared to its rivals. Furthermore, the design was outdated, and few people had affection or confidence in the model.

For 2020, Chevrolet decided to innovate and began producing it at the São Caetano do Sul factory. The model uses the same platform as the Onix and Onix Plus, thus being considered a compact SUV. 

In addition to all the technology and safety features, the Tracker's greatest asset is its engine, as it offers two distinct engine options: a 1.0 and a 1.2, both turbocharged. 

As you can see, the changes have had an effect, as the model is Chevrolet's third best-selling car in 2020. So far, 17,035 units have been sold. 

As expected, the top two positions are split between the two variations of the Onix.

In this case, Chevrolet's second-best-selling model is... Onix Plus, which has the same characteristics as the Onix, but with a "plus" which is its trunk. 

However, the model still loses by a landslide to its "shorter" sibling, having sold only 36,664 units, almost half of what the top seller on this list achieved. 

And in first place on our list, the sales leader in Brazil since 2017. 

The model recently underwent a redesign, aiming to further expand its dominance over its competitors. 

The main changes to the best-selling hatchback are in the standard features and minor alterations to the 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo engine, capable of producing 116 horsepower, with manual and automatic transmission options.

So far, even with the coronavirus pandemic, 69,987 units have been registered.

As expected, the Onix would top the list of Chevrolet's 10 best-selling cars in 2020.

Although the model is a sales champion, the brand's sales figures outside the top 3 are relatively low, which could raise a red flag for Chevrolet in the coming years.
