Where can I check and calculate my 2022 IPVA (Vehicle Property Tax)?

There are different ways to check and calculate IPVA 2022.

And each of them varies depending on the state where you live.

It is possible to check and calculate next year's IPVA (Vehicle Property Tax) directly on the Detran (Department of Motor Vehicles) websites and also by using the Renavam (National Vehicle Registry Number).

To make things easier for you, we'll teach you how to calculate your vehicle tax in a simple and straightforward way.

So, let's go!

To calculate the 2022 IPVA (Vehicle Property Tax), simply multiply the vehicle's value in September according to the FIPE table by your state's tax rate.

Next, simply divide the result by 100 (because of the percentage).

This gives you the final tax amount.

We've created an example to make it easier for you.

If you live in the state of São Paulo, where the tax rate is 4% and your vehicle costs R$ 30,000, the calculation is as follows:

30,000 (car value) x 4 (state tax rate) = 120,000

Next, to implement the state percentage, the calculation is:

120,000 ÷ 100 = 1,200

In other words, the IPVA (Vehicle Property Tax) amount will be R$ 1,200.

Easy to calculate, isn't it?
