17. Vanguard City Car 

Produced between 1974 and 1977 by the American company Sebring Vanguard, the City Car was electric.

Besides its (unattractive) appearance, the vehicle's size was also a problem, as it only had room for two occupants. 

However, despite being cramped and ugly, around 4,000 units were produced during its lifetime.
