The Nissan Cargo was inspired by Citroen's famous 2CV model, with its wavy and somewhat peculiar lines.
First shown to the public at the 1989 Tokyo Motor Show, the vehicle could only be purchased through prior reservation.
However, the model wasn't a sales success, with only 8,000 units sold by 1992.
As can be seen in the photos, the reason for this commercial failure is entirely understandable.
