THE Cobalt It is a compact sedan introduced by Chevrolet in 2011 in Brazil and other emerging countries, to replace the Chevrolet Corsa sedan. It was positioned above the Prisma sedan models and... Sonic, and below the Cruze, in the brand's car lineup in Brazil, at the time of its launch.

It shares the GAMMA II global platform with the Onix, Prisma, and Spin. It has no relation to the Cobalt produced in the United States.

With 21,488 units sold in 2018, the Chevrolet Cobalt ranked thirty-eighth on the list of best-selling cars of last year.
