THE Kangoo The Renault Pampa is a multi-purpose vehicle manufactured by Renault, sold in Brazil and Europe. It was launched in 1997 with a 1.9-liter diesel engine producing 55 hp and 65 hp, and also a 1.9-liter turbo diesel version with 80 hp, which was used in the 4x4 version. Later, the Pampa version was introduced, which is approximately 100 mm taller.

The Kangoo is manufactured at MCA's factory in Maubeuge, France, and Santa Isabel, Argentina, and Casablanca, Morocco. The version for the ASEAN markets was assembled by the Malaysian company Tan Chong Euro Cars at its factory in Segambut. In 2003, the model was renewed, both exterior and interior, receiving the new DCI 1.5 turbo diesel engine with power outputs between 65 hp and 80 hp, while the 1.9 diesel engine with 65 hp continued to be available. The 1.9 turbo variant was introduced in the 4x4 version, with 85 hp. In 2006, the special Sportway series was launched to compete with the Fiat Doblò Adventure. It can accommodate 5 people with 7.2 liters of luggage and is a good vehicle for cargo.
