Focus The Focus is a car manufactured by Ford since 1998 to succeed the Escort and, at the time of its launch, to compete in the market with the more modern Fiat Brava, Chevrolet Astra (Opel Astra in Portugal), and Volkswagen Golf. Offering more modern engines than the model it replaced and a new design, Ford intended for the Focus to achieve the same success as its predecessor, the Escort.
