16 – Ford Focus – Powershift automatic transmission with a defect
Not only the Ford Focus, but the EcoSport and Giesta also had the same problem. The issue was quite serious and resulted in numerous complaints, most of which concerned abnormal vibrations and tremors. In some cases, the gearbox would fail between gear changes or be slow to respond. There are also reports of loss of power, especially on inclines, and even complete engine failure, with the gearbox locking up and making it impossible to engage gears.
