17 – Volvo C30 – steering box hose replacement
Normally, to issue a recall, you need to have a record of several models with problems, perhaps dozens or even thousands. However, what happened with Volvo was that they publicly recalled all C30 models because of a steering box hose replacement. The bizarre thing about all this is that of all the models involved in this problem, only one car had that specific damage, and yet Volvo insisted on recalling them all for the same repair. That's what I call VIP treatment for cars.
