10 – Chevrolet Sonic – without brake pads
This is undoubtedly one of the most bizarre car recalls in history, as well as one of the most senseless. The braking system is one of the most important things in assembling a vehicle, and in some cases the best thing to do is brake. However, you wouldn't be able to do that if you owned one of the 4,000 Sonic models sold in 2011 in the US. That's because the manufacturer forgot the brake pads during production, and it went through all the production processes, until it reached dealerships and was delivered to customers without anyone noticing this embarrassing mistake by Chevrolet.
