Single pedal

A major distinguishing feature of the 2020 Nissan Leaf is the so-called e-pedal mode. When this mode is activated, the accelerator becomes the only pedal to be used.

This happens because when you take your foot completely off the accelerator, the car brakes instantly, even turning on the rear brake lights. This driving mode is recommended for low-speed situations, such as in heavy traffic, and although it may feel strange at first, it's easy to get used to.

e-Pedal: Different and economical

If you need to drive above 40 km/h, it is recommended that you deactivate the e-pedal mode and use the brake pedal to drive normally.

Slight discomfort and simple interior

Although it has room for five adults, those traveling in the back seat may feel uncomfortable, simply because the floor is raised to accommodate the battery pack. After a while, the position can become somewhat uncomfortable.

The interior could be improved.

The interior of the Nissan Leaf is relatively simple. The finish can't be considered bad, but it doesn't justify the high price tag. There's a lot of hard plastic and few soft, touch-sensitive areas. The design of the dashboard and steering wheel, in fact, is reminiscent of its "sibling," the Kicks.
