The Volkswagen Nivus is yet another launch delayed by the coronavirus, a situation that has been keenly felt by industry professionals. The model was expected to arrive at Brazilian dealerships in the second half of May. 

In addition to postponing the launch of the Nivus, the German automaker will also postpone the launch of the Polo-derived crossover to the second half of the year. 

Inside, the Nivus will feature a standard 12-inch digital instrument cluster, as well as a multimedia system with integrated 4G internet, a first in Brazil. The model will also debut the brand's new logo in Brazil and the three-spoke steering wheel from the Golf 8.

In terms of engine options, the Nivus will feature a 1.0 200 TSI engine with 128 horsepower, equipped only with a six-speed automatic transmission.
