At first glance, for a simple car, the Ford Ka is quite powerful, abandoning the old 1.5 Ti-VCT flex four-cylinder 110 hp engine to use the same engine as the Ford Ecosport's 1.5-liter Dragon flex three-cylinder. It produces 136 hp with ethanol and 128 hp with gasoline, at 6,500 rpm.
The Ford Ka's performance is relatively reasonable for a simple car. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 181 km/h. This is for the Ka 1.0 Manual. The 2020 Ka 1.5, on the other hand, goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 181 km/h.
The Ford Ka's fuel consumption remains one of the strong points that makes this simple car so popular. Across all versions, the average fuel consumption with ethanol ranges from 8.4 km/l to 10.1 km/l. While with gasoline, it averages from 10.1 km/l to 15.5 km/l. And some owners claim to get much more than that average with their Ford Kas.
