1.2 turbo engine
In cheaper versions, the engine and transmission of the new Chevrolet Tracker are the same as those used in the Onix, but with a specific calibration: a 1.0 turbo flex 3-cylinder engine, with up to 116 horsepower and a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.
The more expensive versions, on the other hand, are equipped with a brand-new 1.2 turbo engine, also with three cylinders, flex-fuel capability, and a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Another new feature is the Start-Stop system, which automatically shuts off the engine during brief stops to help save fuel. According to GM, both engines are the most fuel-efficient among all compact SUVs.
