12. Chevrolet Monza
Here we have, certainly, one of the most iconic cars in Brazil. Launched in 1982, the Monza brought an unprecedented standard of quality to Brazil.
The vehicle was derived from a European project, the Opel Ascona. The model first debuted in its hatchback version and later gained a sedan body with two and four doors. The model gained notoriety for its power, and also for being quite fuel-inefficient, which did not prevent it from being the sales leader here between 1984 and 1986, being dethroned by the Gol.
The automaker replaced the Monza with the Vectra in 1996, which was another vehicle considered a desirable object for many Brazilians.
