15. Volkswagen Beetle

The Volkswagen Beetle is undoubtedly one of Brazil's iconic cars. It's almost impossible for people not to have some kind of automotive memory involving this model.

The small car was initially produced with the aim of repopulating German roads after the First World War. The German manufacturer's idea was simple: to be cheap, easy to maintain, and have low fuel consumption.

In Brazil, the model was so successful that in the 1970s, it accounted for approximately 70% of the national fleet.
