17. Volkswagen Brasília
Em 1973 era lançada a Volkswagen Brasília, um dos carros mais icônicos do Brasil. A montadora já trabalhava no projeto desde 1970 a pedido do então presidente da marca no Brasil, Rudolph Leiding. o
Após o lançamento em 1973, o modelo viria a sofrer pequenas alterações que ocorreram nos anos de 1977, 1978 e nos anos de 1979 e 1980 atingiu o patamar de veículo mais vendido do Brasil.
Assim como Fusca, o modelo era equipado com motorização traseiro e câmbio de quatro marchas e foi lançada para competir contra o Chevette e fazer frente ao Fiat 147.
