18. Volkswagen Passat LS
Released in 1974, the Passat was one of those models that attracted attention due to its revolutionary design. Its main attraction at the time was its front-wheel drive and constant-velocity joints. Another interesting mechanical point was the rear suspension, which featured torsion beam axles.
Over the years, the model underwent some updates, but it was in 1983 that the car truly won the hearts of speed enthusiasts. With an engine capable of generating 96 horsepower, the Passat LS had performance similar to more powerful models of the time. Certainly, one of the most iconic cars in Brazil.
