The Gurgel BR 800. An urban, economical, and entirely Brazilian model, produced on a structure that mixed steel, plastic, and fiberglass, the vehicle was small and agile. 

The original engine was a two-cylinder, water-cooled boxer engine of their own design and manufacture. The idea of the national automaker 100% was to launch an affordable, functional, and inexpensive car that would cost a maximum of US$3,000, but it didn't work out, and the model left the factory valued at almost US$7,000, still cheaper than its competitors. 

Design problems and chronic defects quickly emerged, allowing competitors to easily surpass the national model, which, although considered a flop, is also one of Brazil's iconic cars.
