The 10 best-selling luxury cars in Brazil
So, check out the 10 best-selling luxury cars in Brazil. You'll certainly be surprised by our list!
10. Porsche Cayenne
Well, we'll start our list with the SUV from the German automaker Porsche.
Launched in the early 2000s, more precisely in 2002, many fans of the brand thought it absurd to launch an SUV amidst so many sporty models. Today, the choice proves to be more than correct.
This year the Cayenne reached its second generation and gained a body variation that positions it as a coupe SUV. This made the design more harmonious and very similar to the famous 911, the brand's darling.
We can say without a shadow of a doubt that the Porsche Cayenne is a luxurious sports car that is virtually flawless.
However, the most critical might say it's a gas guzzler. But what is fuel consumption compared to its price, which starts in the R$ 459 thousand range?
9. Porsche 911
Here we have another example that needs no introduction. After all, who doesn't know the Porsche 911?
Considering the road and street conditions in Brazil, it's easy to see that it's not a car for everyday use. Therefore, whoever buys a 911 will certainly only use it on special occasions.
A true racing car. That's how many define the Porsche 911, which has several versions, with prices starting at around R$ 500,000 and reaching figures of R$ 1.3 million.
8. Land Rover Range Rover Evoque
Well, in eighth place among the best-selling luxury cars in Brazil, we have an English representative.
The model, which originated from a concept created in 2008 but only hit the streets in 2011, is pleasing many people in Brazil and around the world.
The luxury SUV, which used to be produced here, is now imported directly from England and its main new feature is a mild-hybrid system.
In this system, a small electric motor replaces the starter motor, improving the overall efficiency of the assembly.
According to the brand, this system was able to improve the Evoque's fuel consumption by approximately 61 tf³. The model now features LED lighting throughout: interior, exterior, and dashboard lights.
Finally, the Evoque also features an innovative system called ClearSight Ground View, capable of reproducing a transparent 3D image of what's happening under the hood.
The 2020 Evoque starts at R$ 281 thousand and can reach R$ 322 thousand.
7. Mercedes Benz GLA
We've reached seventh place with a model from a brand known for its luxury and quality.
So, the "German" model underwent a complete redesign, making it more consistent with its SUV purpose and shedding the hatchback label.
Compared to the previous model, the 2020 GLA is 1.4 centimeters shorter. Its wheelbase is now 2.73 meters. The main change can be felt in the height, as the model gained an extra 10.4 centimeters, making it now 1.50 meters tall.
Furthermore, to convey the SUV feel behind the wheel, the driving position was raised and the driver's seat was also significantly elevated. Just for comparison, the GLA's seat is 14 centimeters higher than that of the famous A-Class.
GLA values start at R$ 185,000 and can reach R$ 200,000.
6. Land Rover Discovery Sport
The British automaker has made some subtle changes to the Discovery Sport that can only be noticed with a little attention.
Thus, on the outside, the model has headlights in a streamlined shape with new LED contours that function as daytime running lights. The hood and waistline remain the same with minor changes to the front grille.
In addition, the air intake at the ends of the front bumper became thinner and lost the auxiliary lights. The model still has two engine options: gasoline or diesel.
With prices starting at R$ 249,000 and potentially reaching close to R$ 270,000 depending on the version.

The 2020 version features chrome accents on the front grille that house the brand's famous star above the air intakes. At the rear, LED taillights subtly extend into the side of the vehicle.
