1 – Jeep

Jeep Jeep is a registered trademark currently owned by FCA US LLC. The term jeep has become synonymous with automobiles designed for off-road use, typically with four-wheel drive. The term jeep was military slang used since the 1910s, and initially referred to anything insignificant, silly, or strange. During World War I, American army mechanics began calling any new machine that came into their hands a jeep, from chainsaws to airplanes. Many explanations about the origin of the word jeep have proven difficult to verify. The most widespread theory is that the military designation "GP" (for Government Purposes or General Purpose) was introduced into the word Jeep in the same way that the contemporary HMMWV (for High Mobility Multi-Wheeled Wheeled Vehicle) became known as the Humvee (also known as Hummer). The Minneapolis Moline tractors that were supplied to the US Army starting in 1937 were also called jeeps, as was one of the prototypes of the legendary Boeing B-17 (the flying fortress), the Model 299, which first took off in 1935. According to historians, this slang possibly influenced EC Segar when naming Popeye the Sailor's magical friend, Eugene the Jeep.

An average depreciation of 8.74% with an average value per vehicle of R$117,827Leaving the Jeep Ranked #1 among brands that depreciate the least in one year.
