Founded in 1964 in China under the name Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co., Ltd., it initially focused on truck production. Currently, it produces vehicles that serve various segments of the automotive market.
The company maintains a national research and development center in Hefei and, in 2005, opened its first international center in Turin. Subsequently, in 2006, its second international research center was opened in Shanghai.
