19 – Gilles Villeneuve
Gilles Villenneuve He was a Canadian racing driver. Villeneuve was born in the province of Quebec. He was the son of a piano tuner and made his motor racing debut in 1975, after a brief but successful career as a snowmobile racer in championships in his country.
Gilles He has 6 wins for Ferrari, and his last victory was in 1978, in the very last GP, which was held in his home country, Canada. Villeneuve had a great season and finished 9th overall with 17 points in Formula 1.
Unfortunately, on May 8, 1982, Gilles Villeneuve He died after an accident during the final qualifying session for the Belgian Grand Prix at Zolder. He didn't win a world title, but he left his legacy in Formula 1.
